E&G QSJ now indexed in the Web of Science

29 July 2021

In the name of the editorial board of E&G QSJ, it is my great pleasure to spread some good news about the development of the journal, which was recently included in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) by Clarivate Analytics. This means that contributions published in E&G QSJ will now fully be indexed in the Web of Science (WoS), hopefully resulting in another boost of visibility for the journal.

The inclusion of E&G QSJ in the ESCI is an important milestone, and a first step on the way to be included in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) in the future. To reach this goal, we will build on the exceptionally high quality standards of E&G QSJ as an open-access journal and will continue shaping the future of the journal as a reputable, worthwhile alternative for publication of scientific papers, innovative express reports, and thesis abstracts dealing with Quaternary research.

This success is the result of a great team effort, and I would like to take the chance to thank all members of the editorial and advisory board, all reviewers, and the team at Copernicus for their time and effort in supporting E&G QSJ. Finally yet importantly, I would also like to thank all authors for entrusting us with the handling of their scientific work – without your submissions, this would not have been possible.

Christopher Lüthgens

Chief Editor of E&G QSJ
